It was our 2nd Open League match of the season against Sri Lanka Cricket Club (SLCC). Winning the toss SLCC chose to bowl first. It wasn’t a very good batting performance as we lost wickets in regular intervals. But a good partnership from Rakib and Yousuf got us out of the trouble and gave us something to bowl at. We managed to get 135/10 from 33 overs.
Though we had to defend a low total, we were still confident with our strong bowling unit. We needed early wickets and our opening bowlers exactly delivered that. Rahat claimed a 5-for and 2 each for Rakib & Sharif. At the end SLCC only managed to get 100/10 in 22 overs and we won the match by 35 runs.
